HUM 2930: CURE CULTURAL PROGRAMMING

In this class, we examined the opioid epidemic in an interdisciplinary context. By reviewing relevant academic research on both the causes and consequences of the crisis we developed a sense of the both the quantitative impact of this issue on society and the deeply personal human costs it brought. We also looked into the variety of treatment solutions, learning both from our instructor, who had first hand experience in this aspect of the issue and a variety of governmental and academic sources. Ultimately, this course enabled me to better understand and synthesize information from academic articles.
